Here, at Rumee Kids - our goal is to create high-quality, aesthetically pleasing + sustainable dinnerware for your little ones. Surely, we are just getting started & have so much room for growth, but we will overperform to ensure our high-quality products have little to no impact on our environment.

As humans, I think we sometimes forget our purpose here on earth. Yes, we are just human beings - trying to navigate daily life, raise our babies the best we can & enjoy our time here, but surely our goal while here is not to further destroy our ecosystem.

We want to extend the life of our planet, not destroy it. Let’s talk a little bit about why transitioning to earth cautious products is important.

Ways our day to day life can impact earth -

We aren’t too naïve to know that just because you purchase some silicone dinnerware for your kid, you’re all of the sudden making a huge difference in the world. BUT it is a step in the right direction. We don’t think our products will save the planet, but we KNOW they will help keep our earth from deteriorating further, that’s what matters. We also aren’t naïve to the fact that some people genuinely don’t care about the impact they have on earth, but we strongly encourage those with this specific mindset to do some research & dig a little deeper inward to understand that this is the planet we will be leaving to our children… & then their children, so on & so forth. Stop taking advantage of what has been provided to you & find a way to appreciate it, even if it’s just in some form or another.

When you’re going about your day - working, taking care of your family, cooking + cleaning, you’re focusing on getting to the next thing, which is normal. But what if instead of being so honed in on what is happening in this exact moment, we thought about the big picture for a minute.

The proof is easy to see. There are a lot of thriving industries that are economically viable – and at the same time, they’re doing good for the world. Take solar and wind energy, for example. Those industries are among the fastest growing and contributing to an expected $2.15 trillion global renewable energy market by 2025. This is huge for our planet & should inspire all of you to take part in saving the planet.

It doesn’t happen overnight, we know that. But shifting your views & slowly incorporating more eco-friendly products & habits into your home is more achievable than you think. You can start with something as simple as recycling within your own home, then maybe switch to more sustainable products & then promote those more eco-friendly options to friends/family/like-minded individuals. Like everything else we do, we have the ability to influence those around us. Choose to lead those that you care about in the right direction. Encourage others to contribute positively to our planet, to reduce waste, to use recyclable materials.

Why this Trend is on the rise -

Profit, global growth, employee engagement, or because it’s the right thing to do? I bet it is a little of all of the above. & if we are lucky, such products will help us build a better world for future generations.

More & more businesses, specifically small businesses are shedding light on the impact plastic & other polymers containing harsh chemicals have on our environment. As humans that are constantly consuming, this is a big deal. There truly is no reason to stay stuck in the past in regard to producing + purchasing cheap, throw away items for our children. Personally, I believe that this is becoming “such a thing” because human beings are becoming more & more enlightened to the negative things happening on our planet. We are becoming more & more educated as a generation & because of that, able to make proper decisions for ourselves & our families.

How we do our part at rumee kids -

We will continue to do our part in protecting the planet from further damage by working with suppliers who are committed to sustainable environmental practices & protecting the health & safety of people & the planet.

Reusable tableware that stands the test of time. Rumee Kids silicone dinnerware is durable & has a significantly lower impact on the environment than other products. Our products are not only minimalistic & aesthetically pleasing, but completely recyclable, which keeps these materials out of landfills and waterways. All of our silicone products are also BPA free + we ensure that our suppliers reuse materials whenever possible, not to mention all of our packaging is also 100% biodegradable! At Rumee kids, not only are we focusing on sustainable products, but also the shipping material aspect.

Some of our major + long term goals are to be a part of a bigger organization someday. Whether that is partnering with The Coral Reef Foundation down in Florida, or One Tree Planted or many of the other incredible, inspiring foundations that exist today. One day we truly hope to establish our own organization to help rebuild our ecosystem, but for now we will continue to work towards providing more & more reusable products for you & your family to enjoy.
